DESIGN METHODOLOGY:

Applying the mindset of Design Thinking while enabling the mixed entrepreneurial teams to ideate, iterate and pitch a business idea in 5 days, we developed a one-week programme in close cooperation with the team at Burda Bootcamp, focusing on:

  • interactive sessions with Design Thinking cases, methods, mindsets, industry examples, etc.
  • field challenges and quick street interviews to train empathy and understanding of user needs
  • rapid ideation and assumption-testing in iterative prototyping sprints
  • team challenges to solve identified user needs
  • translating insights into Customer Journeys
  • develop a pitch to defend their digital service idea to senior management
  • inspiration talks by Burda innovation leads and brand experts
  • intermediary mentoring sessions

OUTPUT:

The 5-day Design Thinking session was only the beginning: the 4 selected teams then went on to develop and launch their ideas during 2 months of hard work, facilitated by the brilliant Burda Bootcamp team. A sneak peak at the output can be found here. The winning ideas were:

KEY SKILLS:
