BRISK founder, Design Doer and city nomad, Diana turns Italian coffee into clustered service scenarios and innovation processes to help your organisation create new product/ service systems. With a background in industrial design, technology management and product development, she combines running BRISK in Brussels with guest lecturing at Munich’s technology management school slash startup hub CDTM, devising ideas to combine design thinking/ immersive field research/ business prototyping, co-founding the Be Makers initiatives to promote making/ FabLabs/ urban co-creation, or out on rigid inflatable boats (yes, that’s a thing) on the North Sea.
Headquartered in cities across the world, our crew follows individual professional paths while briskly collaborating on challenging innovation projects to combine forces in interdisciplinary teams, research themes we care about, challenge each others’ work or plan the next business/service design madness over coffee. Additionally, our involvement in networks such as Thousand Network, TUMunich alumni, the CDTM community, the Design Society, the Design Management Institute, the FabLab Network, etc. links us to more experts, colleagues, mentors, industry contacts and overall phenomenally talented people we can count on for input, help and cocreation when a specific topic arises!
With a background in product design from design schools in Berlin and Los Angeles, years of professional photography and guest lecturing at Berlin’s famed Design School UDK, Hannes is our product/ service cocreation facilitator with killer design skills and a talent for surprising pictures. Whenever he’s not collaborating on a brisk project, you’ll find him in Brussels/ Berlin or on the road, documented in his breathtaking photos and sketches.
With a Master’s in Industrial Design from the TUM, previous studies of interior design and carpentry and half a decade industry experience design consulting for automotive manufacturers and startups, Jürgen is our go-to guy when it comes to devising and building connected home concepts, micro mobility currencies, emobility products/services or physical spaces: always solving user pains in co-creative, hands-on interdisciplinary settings!
Following her Honors Degree in Technology Management, M.Sc. in Psychology, M.A. in Anthropology, and a Computer Science degree, Tanja is a currently a user researcher in Zurich. She gained research experience in ethnographic fieldwork, interviews, survey and laboratory experiments at Hyve, Infosys, Fraunhofer, Osram and MAN. An avid traveler, she’s lived, studied and traveled across the globe, documented here.
Passionate about hands-on product development and additive manufacturing techniques, Maria combined her Master’s in Industrial Design and her sculpting degree in developing and launching MYO (Make-Your-Own). MYO offers individual, minimalistic, sustainable furniture solutions designed with 3D-printed parts and brings your DIY spirit back to elegant design furniture, locally produced, unique and endlessly combinable. Furthermore, she designs brands and products for energy and health startups.
With his background in Product Development (Dipl.Ing.) and Industrial Design (M.Sc.), Jens is currently the Head of Design at tado°, Munich based cleantech startup par excellence, where he builds a coherent product/brand experience for customers across all touchpoints of the physical/ digital service experience. Jens is BRISK’s phenomenal co-facilitation veteran in the CDTM Design Thinking workshop series, currently in it’s 4th year.
With a background in fashion and UX and a passion for sustainable design, Jess is devoting her creative mind to informing and activating communities about sustainability initiatives with #MoveToRenewables, most recently an art collective against the dakota pipeline you can check out here.
Our newest Belgo-Spanish crew member Licia is currently finishing her M.Sc. in Product Development, while working on BRISK FinTech Bootcamps, Service Design methodologies and UX ideation projects. When she’s not being our favourite intern of the month, she works on her DIY jewelry line or devises cradle-to-cradle eco-machines for music festivals.
